MBA OHS Department

The MBA Safety Department offers talks on various subjects ranging from Supervisor responsibilities to general safety awareness training. These talks can be presented on site at no cost or at Belmont Square Conference Centre for a minimal cost. We will cover all aspects of safety in these talks and can customise a talk to suit a member's needs. A presentation specifically aimed at sub-contractors is available and has been presented with great success in the past.  The presentation addresses all the requirements of the OHS Act and the Construction Regulations.

The MBA offers a free Star Grading Audit to all members.  Any member can request a star grading audit on site, the only cost to a member being the star grading board and the stars.  We would encourage all members to make use of this service by contacting the MBA and requesting a free audit.  The current cost of a board is R262.20 and each star costs R11.40.  A full report is provided after the audit, which can only help members improve their safety systems.
