The following training will be available during 2010:
Health and Safety Representative training:
 
Members -R1120, 00 per person Excl VAT
Non Members - R1500.00 per person Excl VAT
 
 
This is a two day classroom and half day on a construction site course which as been written based on the SAQA unit standard 259622.
Each candidate will receive a copy of the Act, a full set of course notes and a certificate of attendance.
The training will be held at Belmont Square and the cost includes lunch on the first two days and all course material.
 
Training will commence at 08:30 and end at 16:30.
A maximum of 10 candidates can be accommodated per course.
 
OHS awareness training:   “Passport to Construction”
 
Members -R 150, 00 excl VAT per person.
Non Members -R300.00 excl Vat per person
 
 
This is a 3 to 4 hour basic OHS awareness training course developed for the MBA by RRM a Health & Welfare SETA accredited training provider.
The course provides general OHS awareness training to all levels of employees up to supervisor level.
All attendees receive an ID card once they have completed the training program.
A maximum of 20 people can be accommodated per half day session, advanced booking is therefore essential.
This training will be presented at Belmont Square from 8:30 to 12:30
 
Sub-contractor OHS awareness training.
 
Members - R975, 00 per person excl VAT.
Non-Members - R 1200 per person excl VAT
 
 
This is a full day workshop for sub-contractors to help make them more aware of their OHS duties and responsibilities and to equip them with enough information so that they can better manage their health and safety on site.
 
Course includes:
Ø Passport to Construction training.
Ø How to set up a basic OHS safety plan and file.
Ø How to use the MBSA safety manual to set up a plan and file.
 
The cost of the course includes all the material which includes a copy of the MBSA OHS Manual as well as lunch.
Each person attending will receive a certificate of attendance.
 
A maximum of 12 people can be accommodated per course.
 
The training will be presented at Belmont Square.
Training will begin at 8:30 and end at 16:30.
 
All of the above courses can be presented at members offices if suitable facilities are available, please contact me to arrange this training and discuss costs.
